Her career began in 1991 at Prudential and has soared full-circle through her integrative approach with clients, having previously received Prudential\u2019s Award of Merit and in 2024 she was recognized as Wealth Solutions Report\u2019s Financial Planner of the Year. <\/p>\n
Barb has worn many hats during her tenured career, serving as the President of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Foundation in 2012 and currently holds the role as Chair of Life Happens, NAIFA\u2019s consumer education arm. She also is on NAIFA\u2019s National Board of Trustees and is the Trustee Liaison for the organization\u2019s National Grassroots Committee. Other boards Barb participates in, include Spiritual Care Consultants, Kiwanis, Green Gables and Thornapple Garden Clubs. <\/p>\n
Her story goes beyond financial planning and is truly about championing financial literacy and empowering individuals to make informed decisions for a secure financial future. She believes it is a gift to help her clients feel fulfilled by providing them with financial resources to navigate every chapter of their life.<\/p>\n
Barb resides in Hastings, Michigan with her husband Stuart. They have 4 adult daughters and seven grandchildren. Brian J. Haney, CLTC, CFS, CIS, CFBS, LACP, CAE, Founder and CEO of the Haney Company in Silver Spring, MD, has been a loyal NAIFA member since 2013.<\/p>\n
Haney is a member of NAIFA-Greater Washington, D.C., and has served on the chapter\u2019s Board for more than seven years. He has been the NAIFA-GWDC Young Advisor Team (YAT) Chair and a Past President of the chapter. He has chaired several other NAIFA-GWDC committees and served on the Board of NAIFA-MD. He is a 2015 graduate of NAIFA\u2019s Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) and has served as a LILI Moderator. <\/p>\n
Haney served on the national YAT Committee and is a member of NAIFA\u2019s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. He was NAIFA\u2019s first Life and Annuity Certified Professional (LACP) Chair and served as a subject-matter expert, developing exam questions and criteria for the certification.
